Our cocoa plants are grown from healthy, strong stock and are well-established in pots, ready to plant or keep as indoor specimens. With glossy green leaves and a compact growth habit, they make an attractive addition to any edible garden.

Growing Tips:

  • 🌤 Climate: Prefers warm, humid tropical conditions. Best suited to North Queensland, or grow indoors/greenhouse further south.

  • 💧 Water: Keep soil evenly moist but not waterlogged.

  • 🌿 Light: Bright, filtered light – protect from harsh afternoon sun.

  • 🌸 Pollination: Produces small, delicate flowers on the trunk; hand pollination may help fruit set.

  • 🍫 Harvest: Mature trees produce cocoa pods containing beans used to make chocolate!

I did purchase new softer silicone utensils to keep the surface nice. And I’ve laid down the law to hubby… NO non-stick spray on these!
